Tips for Keeping Sand Out of Your CarJuly 8, 2021
Going to Delray Beach with your family is a great way to spend the weekend, but it doesn’t take a lot of beach time to get sand all over your luxury car, which can definitely take some of the enjoyment away. Fortunately, with these tips, you’ll be able to keep sand out of your car and focus on having a good time.
Cover the upholstery
Grab some old bedsheets and cover your seats and trunk with them. If sand eventually gets into the car, it will be much easier to get them out of the sheets than out of your seats.
Bring the right items
There are a few items you can pack to reduce the amount of sand you bring back from the beach, such as a trash bag for shoes and towels and a mesh bag for other belongings.
Rinse before you leave
Before you head home, take a dip into the water to wash any sand off your body. Then rinse your feet at the shower stations as you leave. You may also want to bring a gallon of water to rinse your feet and hands without having to rely on the beach’s facilities.
When you get home, shake your car mats and vacuum the interior as soon as possible. This will prevent any sand that has managed to get into your car from setting deeper into the fabric. If you followed the steps above, a quick vacuum cleanup should be enough.
